Privacy Policy — GoodGuys Hotline

Effective date: July 14, 2026  •  Last updated: July 14, 2026

GoodGuys Hotline ("the App") is operated by Ty10 Media LLC ("we," "us," "our"). The App is a free peer-support tool for veterans, first responders, police, firefighters, and EMS. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

The App is not an emergency service and not a medical or clinical service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911. The App does not provide diagnosis or treatment.

2. How we use your information

To provide and operate the App; to match you with peer supporters; to enable calling; to run our safety / crisis-escalation process; to communicate about the waitlist and launch; to diagnose crashes and improve reliability; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Service providers

We share limited data with vendors who process it on our behalf under contract:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and backend functions
TwilioMasked peer-to-peer voice calling (when the calling feature is enabled)
SentryCrash and error reporting
ResendDelivering safety-alert emails to our team

Tapping the 988 button places a normal phone call through your carrier; we do not receive the contents of that call.

4. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data (see Section 6). On-device journal entries are removed when you delete them or uninstall the App.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We restrict access to personal data and apply row-level security on our backend. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Your choices & rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and (where applicable under laws such as the CCPA) exercise additional rights. Email us at goodguysbadthoughts@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on your device, you can also revoke location and microphone permissions in your phone's settings.

7. Children

The App is intended for adults (17+) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
